1. Who we are

FIG Ventures is operated by FIG Clubs Oy (Business ID 3202381-3), Mannerheiminaukio 1 A, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. FIG Clubs Oy is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact for privacy matters: info@figventures.vc.

2. What data we collect

• Contact form: your name, company, work email, area of interest and the message you write.
• Newsletter: your email address, and whether you open or click our emails if our newsletter provider records this.
• Email and meetings: the information you share with us when you write to us or meet us.
• Technical data: our hosting provider processes IP addresses and basic request data to deliver the site securely. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and discuss a possible collaboration: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To send our newsletter: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every email.
• To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest.
• To meet accounting and other legal obligations where they apply.

4. Who processes data for us

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Web3Forms (delivery of contact form messages to our inbox), Buttondown (newsletter) and our email provider. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or by the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep data

• Enquiries and related correspondence: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship follows.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Accounting records: as long as Finnish law requires.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

To use any of these rights, email info@figventures.vc. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and fonts are served from our own domain. If we add privacy-friendly, cookie-free visitor statistics, we will update this policy.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
